Hey Everyone,
Just a little note to let you know that Alex Dixon is the featured artist on September’s issue of Southland Blues Magazine. If you plan on attending the Long Beach Blues Festival this coming weekend, make sure to stop by the Southland Blues booth as they will be passing out issues to all festival attendees.
In this article, Alex will discuss the direction of Dixon Landing Music, his previous CD that he produced/recorded last year with veteran bluesman Cash McCall, the “HOT BLUES NIGHTS” series held at the historic Chess Records Studios at 2120 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago, his work with his family’s foundation Blues Heaven Foundation (www.bluesheaven.com) and his upcoming CD to be released early 2009. A few samples of the songs that are included on the next CD will be available in the upcoming months.
