Alex Dixon is featured in a 4-page spread of Issue 46 of Blues Matters! magazine (current issue). If you have not already received a copy, you can order one directly from www.bluesmatters.com. In his interview with Billy Hutchinson, he talks about his first release on Dixon Landing Music titled “The Vintage Room”, discusses why it took so long to re-emerge on the music scene after his grandfather passed away, and his future plans with Dixon Landing Music and Blues Heaven Foundation (www.bluesheaven.com).

Alex Dixon is featured on the cover of the September ‘08 issue of Southland Blues Magazine (www.southlandblues.com). In the article he discusses his role as Vice President of Blues Heaven Foundation, his projects that he has worked on with several Chicago Blues musicians, and the heavy hitters that are involved on his next CD release titled “My Family Tree”. Hey Everyone,
Just a little note to let you know that Alex Dixon is the featured artist on September’s issue of Southland Blues Magazine. If you plan on attending the Long Beach Blues Festival this coming weekend, make sure to stop by the Southland Blues booth as they will be passing out issues to all festival attendees.
In this article, Alex will discuss the direction of Dixon Landing Music, his previous CD that he produced/recorded last year with veteran bluesman Cash McCall, the “HOT BLUES NIGHTS” series held at the historic Chess Records Studios at 2120 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago, his work with his family’s foundation Blues Heaven Foundation (www.bluesheaven.com) and his upcoming CD to be released early 2009. A few samples of the songs that are included on the next CD will be available in the upcoming months.
